Lodging & Local Amenities For PPG Students

Below you’ll find just a few of the great options for lodging and keeping yourself fed & entertained while training with us at Oregon Paramotor.

Lodging

There are various options & price points available in the Grande Ronde valley. From hotels to yurts, we can accommodate almost all budgets.

Hotels

  • Best Western Plus Rama Inn & Suites - One of the more full featured hotels in La Grande. Free breakfast with waffles, eggs, cereals, juices and more.

  • Super 8 - At around $85/night, this is a solid option with free breakfast.

  • Travelodge & Royal Motor Inn - Pricing comes in around $45-60/night, we’ve had reports of rooms being clean (enough), wifi working decently, showers and toilets fully working, but accommodations will be sparse 😛

Airbnb / Bed & Breakfasts

There are a few options around for those looking to rent an entire house, or have a bit more of a deluxe stay.

  • The Landing Hotel - This is one of my wife and I’s favorite places to eat in town. The quaint rooms are nice too.

  • Grande Hot Springs - Located just a few minutes from the Oregon Paramotor training grounds, the hot springs park offers a few options such as yurts and an Airstream rental.

  • Airbnb - Check out Airbnb for local options and availability. Staying out in Summerville, Imbler, Cove or Union are options as well, it’s only a 10-15 drive to any of these charming small towns.

RV / Tent Camping

  • Grande Hot Springs - Minutes away from the Oregon Paramotor training grounds, this tent camping & RV park is the perfect compliment to paramotor training for those with an RV or on a budget. Or maybe you simply love the outdoors! Soak in the historic hot spring pools, access to showers & toilets, wifi, etc.

  • Hilgard Junction State Park - About 20 minutes from the airport and training grounds, the Hilgard Junction State Park is a great option for those who want to be further from civilization.

Activities & Recreation
